The LAMY 2000 has been writing its way into
design history since 1966. Even today, many people regard it as one of the
world's most modern writing instruments.
The Lamy 2000 Series Pens are made from a combination material of fibreglass-reinforced
Makrolon and stainless steel with a "brushed" effect and has a unique
spring-loaded clip in stainless steel. The Lamy 2000 fountain pen features a
platinum finished 14 carat gold nib that is hand polished and semi-hooded to
prevent ink drying when left uncapped, available in Extra Fine, Fine, Medium or
Broad point sizes. This pen has a piston filling system with a large ink
capacity (uses bottled ink only). The ballpoint pen uses Lamy M-16 ballpoint
refills whereas the mechanical pencil has a built-in eraser and is available in
two sizes, for use of either 0.5mm or 0.7mm leads.
The Lamy 2000 4 color ballpoint pen is imported from Germany, this sleek
black beauty contains 4 ink colors: black, blue, green and red. Its simple,
elegant design doesn't require a complex mechanism to select the ink color.
Rather, it's designed to let gravity do the trick. Near the top of the pen are
four colored bands, which encircle its body, one representing each ink color. To
select a color, simply rotate the pen until the band of the ink color you want
is facing upwards. Then click the button at the back of the pen to begin using
that color of ink. It's very simple and intuitive.
