Edison Pens Logo

The Edison Pen Co is based out of Milan, OH - the birthplace of one of America's greatest inventors, Thomas Edison. All pens are produced by hand (in the USA) with exceptional craftsmanship that is well-known by pen enthusiasts across the country. Known primarily for custom-designed pens, Edison began a production line of fountain pens offered to retail at a more affordable price point. Each pen is sold with a converter and boxed in a faux croc leatherette case for gift-worthy presentation.

How Does the Edison Pen Write?

The Edison Hudson is the company's first production model release and it sure does not disappoint fans who even have purchased a custom, "Signature Line" Edison in the past. On the right, you will find a small sample of writing that was done to compare the broad, medium and fine nibs with one another to see the difference in line, flow and smoothness. The image is zoomed up for detail. The fine point happens to be the biggest suprise, writing more on the drier side like an extra-fine. All nibs write nice and smooth across Rhodia paper, with no skipping or lack of ink flow. Visit our Goldspot Pens Blog to read our in-depth review of the Edison Hudson (with complete writing sample). As a follow up, check out the Edison Collier introduction on our blog as well. We also offer our thoughts on the Edison Herald model versus the previous Signature.
