The Pelikan Souveran Series pens are meticulously crafted using high quality materials available. Distinguishing features such as the striped celluloid overlay and the beak shaped clip make the Souveran anything but ordinary. Virtually weightless in the hand, the 400 Collection poses flexible 14k nibs which are engineered to 100ths of a millimeter for sure strokes and clear lines. The fountain pen features hand-crafted, finely engraved 14 carat gold nib available in fine, medium, or broad nib sizes and fills with Pelikan's classic plunger filling mechanism with a visible indication of ink level via the translucent portion of the barrel.

Matching roller-ball pen, ballpoint pen and mechanical pencil are also available. The Souveran 400 ballpoint pen and 0.7mm mechanical pencil feature easy one handed push-button mechanism. The 400 rollerball is the smallest rollerball in the Souveran Series. It is appropriately sized for most women or for men with a smaller grip.
