Pelikan celebrates Civilization's achievement of taming fire in their latest special edition fountain pen. The motif of a crucible filled with fire is repeated several times in exquisite 24-carat gold plating. The rich red color is achieved by taking the weighted brass barrel and lacquering it multiple times with the color to create the most vivid hue possible. Five genuine topaz gemstones are inlaid and make the fire sparks sizzle to life.

The fountain pen nib is made from solid 18-carat gold with an iridium tip. The edition is limited to 500 writing instruments worldwide.
