When astronauts
started to explore the reaches of outer space, Paul Fisher realized that no
existing pen could perform its zero-gravity vacuum and temperature extremes. His
common sense approach and practical experiments resulted in the invention of the
AG-7 "Anti-Gravity" Space Pen. After rigorous testing, NASA selected the Fisher
Space Pen for use on all of the Apollo missions. They are still used on manned
spaced flights.
AG-7 Space Pen series are all metal, .375 inch
diameter, with side button mechanism. Contains a PR4 black ink, medium point refill. The ink is a pressurized with nitrogen and becomes liquid when
the special ball point exposes the gel to air. This means your pen won't dry
out. The estimated shelf life of the special ink is 100 years.
The Fisher AG7-11 pen like itメs counterpart the AG-7 is made of all steel components. It contains a deep machine engrave of the
historic Apollo XI mission. The detail in this engraving is amazing. It contains
the physical engraved graphic of Neil Armstrong standing on the Moon's surface,
the American Flag positioned on the Moon, the profile of the Earth in the
background and the names of the 3 world famous Astronauts that made this
historic flight: Neil Armstrong, Michael Collins, and Edwin (Buzz) Aldrin. Gift Boxed.
