| This fountain pen from the Delta pen company is a part of the Delta Indios collection. The Indios collection is the second in "series III" of Indigenous People. The indigenous peoples of the Amazon comprised a large number of distinct ethnic groups who inhabited the country's present territory prior to its discover by the Portuguese around 1500. The first Portuguese explorers called them Indios ("Indians"), an name still used today in Brazil. This Delta fountain pen remembers these semi - nomadic tribes. The pen is a special limited edition fountain pen that is hand turned from solid bars of a special brown Hevea color resin. This Delta pen also features a capuchon placed in the end of the cap that offers a disk portraying a parrot, the typical symbol of the amazon. |
